Let’s get started…

Step One

STEP ONE: POWER PRAYER… Talk to God

Powerful Prayer is simply a conversation with God. Using the Power Pack creates an intense and focused conversation with God (prayer) each day.

We are going to teach you four parts to your focused prayer time.

Use The Power Pack to write and journal your prayers directly to God. Writing them down will help you stay focused and also give you the chance to look back at your prayers from time to time.

Below we are teaching you about Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication.

Adoration is praising God for who He is and what He is.
Psalms 100:4 (NLT) Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
Adoring God brings us into His presence. He deserves our praise. In the Adoration section, write your praise directly to God. Journal your praise to Him.
“God I adore you because…”

Confession is agreeing with God about specific sin in your life, asking forgiveness and turning from that sin. It is like a good daily bath… it leaves you clean, fresh and ready for your day.
1 John 1:9 (NLT)But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
In your journal, write your confession to God (be specific and not general by saying, “Forgive me for all my sins.” After all, we don’t sin generally, we sin specifically so confess specifically what God brings to your mind.

Thanksgiving is offering God thanks for all He has done.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT) Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
We are not actually thankful for everything that happens to us but this verse tells us we can have an attitude of thankfulness even in the midst of bad circumstances. Thankfulness is an attitude, not a feeling.
Journal to God and tell Him how thankful you are and why.

Supplication is seeking God and asking Him to meet needs in your life and in the lives of others.
Philippians 4:6, 13 (NLT)Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Journal your requests to God. As you make prayer requests to God remember God is more interested in developing your character than developing your life of comfort.

Pray for These
Supplication is so important that we include sections in The Power Pack where you list items you want to pray about every day and some you will pray about once a week on the pages labeled for individual days of the week.
Fill in the items you want to pray about every day and do the same for the people and things you pray about one time a week.
